Our Knowledge is one of our Key Assets
Process Excellence is Xchanging’s internal process improvement department. It’s a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable specialists who are responsible for working with teams from all business areas to continuously enhance Xchanging’s productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
We use toolsets and capabilities that are mainly based around Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma. Lean Six Sigma emphasises quality improvement, but it is more than statistics and tools. Our proven Lean Six Sigma methodology is a systematic application that is focused on achieving compelling financial results. When properly deployed on carefully selected business projects, this methodology can lead to a significant reduction – and in many cases, elimination – of defects and out-of-control processes. Saving these valuable corporate resources translates into immediate – and dramatic – financial profitability.
The continuous introduction and training of a significant number of key personnel in these process improvement tools fundamentally supports Xchanging’s application of rigorous process simplification, integration and automation. 1.5% of our employees are Lean six Sigma Black Belts (full-time process improvement experts) and more than 10% of our staff globally are trained as Lean Six Sigma Green Belts (part-time process improvement experts).

The ongoing success of many diverse Xchanging ventures in Australia and around the world is built on a standardised training program that allows up-skilling candidates in the shortest period of time to become process improvement experts, who will deliver results within the first 90 to 120 days of the deployment. Our trainers are world class experts in their fields and authorised to certify up to Master Black Belt level.
Xchanging’s Lean Six Sigma brings results that go right to the bottom line – regardless of type or size of a business (manufacturing, operational, service or health care). Since the start of our business with 800 employees 10 years ago we have grown ten-fold to a truly global organisation. This growth was made possible by rigorously applying the principles of continuous process improvement to our existing platform. We have learned and achieved a lot in those 10 years and we want to share this knowledge with our customers.
Xchanging is not a consultancy firm
We don’t have consultants on a “bench”, waiting for their next assignment. All our experts are engaged internally as our own process improvement project managers and trainers. We offer our service to our customers because we fundamentally believe that our capabilities and expertise, grown and developed practically on numerous internal projects and external engagements, is a superior product to the standard approach of a consultancy – providing a deployment plan and leaving the customer to implement it. We see a project through until the hand-over to the process owners.
